I need to start this off by saying we had a great 4th of July weekend! We went swimming several times, cooked out with friends, went to a baseball game and saw two different firework shows! It was so busy but it was so fun! Here are some pictures of Addie at the baseball game and at our 4th of July picnic.
With all that being said, early Monday morning we had a very unexpected change in plans. Steven had been having stomach pains since Thursday but kept thinking it was due to something he ate or was caused by some medicine he was taking. Well, by 2:00 am Monday when it wasn’t any better & he couldn’t sleep we decided he should go get it looked at. As it turns out, the pain was due to a perforated appendix that was leaking and giving him an infection. The surgeon wanted to keep him in the hospital for the week on IV antibiotics and he was finally sent home last night. He has to take oral antibiotics for 2 weeks and will have surgery in 6 weeks to remove the appendix. He is feeling okay, just a little sore. His main concern is that he cannot workout for about 8 weeks, and if you know Steven, you know this is going to KILL him! It will definitely be interesting in the Miller household for the next two months. :)
All of this has made for a very long week but we have had great family & great friends helping us out. We are very thankful that we had good help at the Taekwondo School and that Nana was able to come in town to watch Addie. It definitely took a lot of stress off of Mommy! We appreciate everyone’s support, visits, encouragement and well wishes!
